Everyone will face various challenges throughout their lives. Some of these will feel small and manageable, while others may seem huge and insurmountable. Sometimes it can feel like a whole lot of ‘small’ problems are all adding up to become overwhelming. You might be holding it together on the surface, but inside you’re really struggling. Having a reliable therapist who is there for you can mean the difference between being overwhelmed by life’s difficulties, and moving through them – even becoming stronger for it.

Different people will be wanting different things from therapy. You may just need to talk to someone confidentially – about your work life, your love life, your interpersonal relationships or your thoughts and feelings. Or you may be looking for specific strategies for overcoming depression, developing resilience, reducing stress or anxiety, or breaking free from patterns of thinking and behaviour. Some people may want to explore unresolved issues from their past. Family of origin issues, attachment injuries or traumas from long ago can be brought to light and addressed. This can have a profound effect on your life moving forward.

All of this is welcome. You can bring your anxieties and uncertainties, your grief and sadness, confusion and frustration and your disappointments and despair. Of course your sense of humour, creativity, and any other existing strategies, strengths and inner resources are welcome too.
